I believe I can fly..

I believe I can touch the sky. This was the themesong for my birthday (the 20th of May for those who forgot). A lot has happened again since the last time I wrote but the most unforgettable thing was my birthday. We decided with David to leave Bundaberg and go up north to celebrate. His birthday is on the 21st so we celebrated both at the same time. We left Bundaberg and drove for 2 days to come up to Mission Beach. On Sunday we wanted to do something special and exciting so we went skydiving. I don't even have words to describe how amazing it feels to jump out of an airplane which is approx. 4.2 kms up in the air. There was 1 minute of freefall and after that 5 minutes with the parachute, wathing at the coral reef, the beach and rainforests of Mission Beach. Incredible. We landed on the beach with a big smile on our faces. In the evening we went to the beach with a bottle of champain to continue celebrating :)

On Davids birthday we also wanted to do something special so we went rafting for a day in the Tully river. It was a lot of fun. We were also swimming in the river and some of the groups that were there flipped over with their boat many times. We also had to jump into the river from a stone that was approx. 4 metres above the waterlevel. That was more scary to me than skydiving. My legs were like spaghetti but I managed to jump (at the point when everybody was waiting for me..).

Now we are again looking for jobs. We have to go to the place where there is work so I'm not quite sure yet where we'll end up. I will put some pictures of our amazing trip as soon as possible and if I am able to I will also download the dvd from our skydive.
